Founded by teachers and parents, the APCM was created in 1994 and first opened its doors on June 1, 1997 at 99 Elm Street, Westfield, MA. Since then, the museum has moved to its current location at 29 South Broad Street in Westfield, MA and opened its doors again September 27, 2008.
Katherine Daly has her masters in Early Childhood Education and two years experience as a preschool director. Her experience with lesson planning and teaching conjoined with her skills from a writing/psychology major from Sacred Heart University will be an asset to the museum. She is enthusiastic to be part of APCM and help it grow! Watching children grow is so special, to see them explore and learn about the world and who they are as people, helping aid them in confidence and other key aspects of their life is priceless and long lasting.
Our Mission: APCM provides an enriching environment where children and their families can learn about themselves, their communities, and the world around them. Integrated throughout the museum is a broad range of creative exhibits and imaginative hands-on activities, which foster a climate of learning and exploration. Central to the museum's philosophy is that children can learn through the arts, history, science, and the region's rich environmental and cultural diversity.
Thank you to the 2012-2013 APCM Board! The Amelia Park Children's Museum and it's patrons truly appreciate your time, efforts and service.
